What money-saving options are available to our group?
During the fall and spring, Bement offers the unique opportunity for your group to save money by bringing and/or cooking its own food in our kitchen facilities or grills. This can help control costs for groups looking for an inexpensive retreat.

We also offer a Work Exchange program for non-profit groups using our facilities. Your group can perform service projects in exchange for free meals or a discount on overnight stays. Please email Patrick McGuire, Bement's site manager, for details.

Can you help us develop a retreat program?
Absolutely! Bement's staff has years of experience in creating customized programming for youth and adults.
We can provide leadership training, content for spiritual retreats and plenty of games, activities and event themes appropriate for all ages of young people. Our challenge course also provides great content and team building for any group. We will provide trained facilitators to customize a challenge course program to meet your needs. The best way to get started is to contact us to discuss your group's needs.

What is a yurt? Outside photo of yurt
A yurt is a domed, tent-like shelter that is weather-tight. Traditionally, yurts were used by nomads, like the Mongols, because of their extremely efficient shape and construction. The domed roof promotes water runoff and prevents snow buildup, maintaining the structural integrity of the shelter. Our yurts are permanent shelters on platforms with bunkbeds and wood burning stoves. They
can house up to 16 people.

Can our group just use the Bement's challenge course?
Yes. Our state-of-the-art high and low ropes courses are available to groups for $25 per person for a full day and $15 per person for a half day. This includes a trained facilitator. Remember: Use of the high ropes course requires a half day of training and team-building on the low ropes course prior to use.

We don't have access to a camp facility for our existing summer camp program. Can we use yours?
Yes — outside camp groups and organizations can rent Bement's facilities for their own camp programs. We can also provide
certified counselors, program staff and lifeguards, as well as programming ideas to help you and your campers get the most out of Bement. Availability is on a first come, first serve basis.

Do you have lifeguards on duty at the pool?
Yes — during the summer season when the pool is in use, we have certified lifeguards to ensure our guests safety.
In fact, we even provide lifeguards at a lower ratio than the state requirement.
