Youth Programs at Bement:
Get off the couch and into the woods!
Challenge Course Adventure
Build teamwork and leadership in your youth group or scouts by giving them a day (or a weekend!) at the Bement challenge course. With a certified Bement facilitator, your group will start with exercises on the low ropes course and climbing wall, learning listening skills and mapping out roles within the group. Then, if desired in a two-day event, the group can move to the high ropes course and test their personal and team limits while overcoming challenges 30 feet off the ground. The group can cook food on our outdoor grills and fire pits, and, if staying overnight, can camp out in the Adventure Base yurts. Is your group trying to overcome a particular challenge? Includes:
- Three hours per day on the Challenge Course with facilitator (high ropes course requires one 3-hour low ropes session prior to use)
- Access to the lake for fishing, canoeing and rowing
- Unlimited access to hiking trails, volleyball court and sports fields
- Access to grills and fire pits for meal preparation
- Optional overnight accommodations in yurts
One-day Adventure cost: $45 per person
Two-day Overnight Adventure cost: $100 per person

A Day in the Woods
Does your group just need someplace to be outside together? Bement offers plenty of opportunities for kids and their leaders to play and enjoy nature. Use our sports fields, pool, volleyball court, hiking trails and more for your next event. Maximum group size is 150.
Includes:
- Use of Bement property and facilities
- Unlimited access to hiking trails, volleyball court, pool and sports fields
- Optional life guard if needed
Cost: $500 per eight-hour period (optional box lunch available for $6 per person)

Summer Experience
Looking to beat the heat? Bement offers relief and relaxation with a weekend in the woods. Bring your scout group or youth group for a fun-filled weekend retreat that includes use of the pool, lake access for boating or fishing, sports fields and more. Or, if your group is up for some adventure, hike to Mill Stream and cool off in the waterfalls! Three meals per day prepared by our staff are included, and programming help is available from our camp counselors.
Includes:
- Overnight accommodations in yurts or cabins
- Optional excursions to the challenge course with trained facilitator
- Campfire reflection time each evening*
- Access to the lake for fishing, canoeing and rowing
- Use of pool (with lifeguards)
- Unlimited access to hiking trails, volleyball court and sports fields
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the dining hall
Cost: $60 per person per night

Youth Outdoor Adventure and Winter Adventure
What better place to let your scout troop or youth group get to each other and themselves than at Bement? Since Bement is both a camp and conference center, we know kids, and can help you plan a great youth retreat. We offer both a winter and spring/fall experience for youth groups and can accommodate your program or help you create one. For each adventure, youth will need to draw upon each other's skills to prepare meals and/or worship services, allowing them to express themselves through creative gifts. Outdoor Adventure includes three hours each day on the challenge course with a trained Bement facilitator.
Winter Adventure includes:
- Overnight accommodations in St. Luke's
- Evening campfire*
- Access to trails for winter hiking
- Unlimited hot chocolate
- Access to St. Luke's kitchen for meal preparation
